Erythema nodosum loprosum(E.N.L.) has been known as an allergic reaction and, if it is really so, one of the chemical mediators should haute a role in the reaction. E.N.L. has a characteristic histopathological finding with polyfnorphonuclear leucocytes infiltration in the early stage and its number decreasing in the late stage. Additionally, the nature of pail is so irresistible that it may mimic one produced by bradykinin. A potent antibradykinin agent (trasylol) was administered to E.N.L. in order to elucidate whether it has an effect in relieving symptoms. Result, antibradykinln agent (trasylol) demonstrated no effect in treatment of E.N.L. in this study. |
