¿ä¾à Several cases of leper's family and the way of infection are reported
1. Four brothers were affected by leprosy one after another except their eldest sister,
separated from them to be married.
2. In another case, five brothers were also affected one after another before ten years
of age.
These probably due to the close contact with leper or lepers.
3. Five out of six brothers were infected by their leper father but eldest one could
escape from suffering by lofting house in his early life.
The symptoms observed in six patients are nodular in type and incidious in course.
Supposedly, there may be a certain disposition between the father and sons.
4. Two cases of reverse infection from son to father are reported.
5. Two cases of infection among married couple are observed.
In these cases, the latent period was greatly shortened and was only less than two
years.
Generally speaking, nodular type is much stronger than neural type in its infectivity,
and as shown in above cases, it is believed that the leprosy may easels develop when
those who have a disposition or a sensibility have chancer to contact with lepers for
some period.
It is therefore, necessary to isolate the new born child from their patients immediately
after birth.
